Megan Laursen is a videographer, director and storyteller with Danish-Barbadian roots. She has directed commercial spots for ZIOBAFFA and Coffee of Grace, Grace Hightower De Niro’s coffee company, for The American Pavilion at the 71st Cannes International Film Festival. Recently, Megan has written and directed Instagram spec commercial Be Like You (2020) and directed award-winning LGBTQ film When We Meet Again (2020). She is also an Associate Producer on The Market (2016), distributed on Amazon Prime US and UK. 

Recently, Megan captured over 25 interviews with A-list talent as a Videographer for Variety Studio at TIFF (2022); including Daniel Craig, Viola Davis, Hugh Jackman, Brendan Fraser, Sadie Sink, Daniel Radcliffe, Zac Efron, Seth Rogen, Lena Dunham, Joe Jonas, Kate Hudson, Jessica Chastain and Eddie Redmayne. She has also served as an industry professional in marketing for broadcast, OTT and social media.

At the 77th Cannes International Film Festival, Megan served as the Director of Videography for the American Pavilion, leading a team of 7 interns to deliver high-quality video content for PMC partners, guests and sponsors (including but not limited to: Louisiana Tourism, Fulton Films, Gold House, SAGIndie, Impact Lounge, IndieWire). Other videography clients include The LuminAire Agency, ATRIA Development, Highland Group Catering, Still In Style, MCC+C, and more.

Megan’s psychological thriller pilot Reckless won Best Project out of seven television pitches at Steven Levitan’s pitch competition (2019). The competition’s panel of judges included: John Young of Boat Rocker Media, Rachel Nelson of Corus Entertainment and Mark Bishop of Marble Media.

Megan has a Bachelor of Arts in Media Production from Ryerson University’s RTA School of Media. Her education also includes the Am I Covered? The Art of Visual Storytelling and Make ‘Em Laugh for 90 Minutes intensives taught by award-winning script supervisor and comedy writer Daniela Saioni (WGC, DGC, IATSE 873).
